Dysfunctional - An Assassin's Guide to Reincarnating in Another World

Chapter 256 - 255 - Summoning Chaos

Chapter 256 - 255 - Summoning Chaos

"Nicely done, Kuro. Your absence really was missed over the last few months, it certainly is quite reassuring to have the most powerful monsters as allies," Remarked Erhtaph, as I finished explaining the results of my visit to Abyss, "And I must say, it was quite a bold move to rename Platinberg and declare it as your own nation."

"Well, I never planned for that to happen, it just sort of ended up that way," I replied sheepishly.

"Oh, don\'t get me wrong, I am not criticizing your decision, quite the contrary, in fact. You are, without a doubt, the most important asset to the Rustlands."

I\'m pretty sure he\'s just buttering me up to smooth over the cracks of irritation I\'d gotten from the king last time, but whatever, I\'ll take it.

"Oh, it\'s not all good news though...looks like the last remnants of Goldway are gone now. According to Rion and Azeria, Aurich Goldway is dead and his body belongs to a Demon now, and that Demon is allied with Belia Lasmodeus. But it\'s not just him, the last surviving S-Ranked Adventurer of Goldway, Einn Olbaw, has also been possessed and taken over. The Demon in control of his body now is in Platinberg and under my command," I informed him with a grimace.

Yeah, I was taken by surprise when I saw him, even though Fuo and Ekai had already reported that he\'d been possessed when they came across the Demons attacking the Goldlands.

"How many Vampires and Demons do you have under you now?" He inquired curiously.

"Just under a hundred Vampires and a bit over forty Demons...there were actually around sixty of them, but I spoke to each one individually, and I could tell that some of them were loyal to Belia, so I kicked those ones out of Abyss, they were likely spies. I\'m pretty sure the ones I allowed to remain are all loyal, before I spoke to them I gave them a glimpse of my full power, so yeah," I explained in reply.

"I see, intimidation is a powerful tool when it comes to command."

"Well, yeah, but I don\'t plan on ruling them with a iron fist...unlike the Vampires, I don\'t have a magical compulsion implanted in the Demons that compels them to obey me, so I need to gain their loyalty the old fashioned way. Yes, I started with some intimidation to get their attention...but after that, I informed them that they\'re free to do as they please and that they can leave if they\'re against serving me. And once that was taken care of, I delegated tasks to everyone, in order to bring some life to Abyss. I even asked the stronger Vampires to help train the Demons and weaker Vampires, and so far, that\'s all going pretty smoothly."

"I see...you have really though this through, haven\'t you?" He remarked, sounding impressed.

"I mean, I\'m the one who\'ll suffer for it if I\'m half-assed about it, you know? Anyway, not counting the Demons that were resisted and killed, there are about a hundred and five or so Demons around, meaning that outside of Abyss, there are currently about sixty Demons running loose. I\'ve been watching them through the eyes of some of my monsters, and none of them have been approached by Belia...I think she\'s keeping her distance from them in order to maintain her facade with Silvland."

"Interesting...but she can contact them telepathically, can she not?" He brought up with a frown.

"Don\'t worry, I already thought of that, I used a Chaos Magic spell on each of the Demons in Abyss, a spell that\'d prevent her from connecting with them. That\'s actually why I took a couple of days to get back, Chaos Magic spells are too painful to be used in quick succession, so it took a while."

"Yes, I see...then the only problem we have with Abyss is the fact that the Vampires aren\'t able to enter the Rustlands, right?"

"Yeah, but I\'m working on a Chaos Magic spell that can stop the effects of the King\'s Decrees, it\'s a bit tricky though, so it\'s far from complete."

"Ah, speaking of creating spells, I heard that you submitted a new suggestion to Miss Elina, one that is giving her a fair bit of trouble."

Oh, yeah, and if she manages to pull it off, it\'ll make a huge difference in this world.

"Yup, can\'t wait to see how it turns out!" I replied with a grin, "Well, anyway, if there\'s nothing else, I\'m gonna go now, I\'m kinda tired after using Chaos Magic so much."

"Very well, I will contact you if anything comes up."

"Sure. Oh, and don\'t forget, it\'s possible that Belia was watching this whole thing...her Observation Magic is a real pain, though she\'s unlikely to use it all the time since she seems to be obsessed with chaotic and unexpected outcomes...still, just the fact that the possibility that she\'s spying on us exists is a major issue."

"Indeed, and not to mention her Dimensional Magic, we do not have a counter against that, she could teleport thousands of enemies to the heart of the Rustlands again and we would not be able to stop her from doing so," Added Erhtaph with a grim look on his face.

"True, but that\'s unlikely for now...conventional wisdom doesn\'t apply to this adversary, after all. I highly doubt she\'d use the same move twice...in fact, I bet she already has her next move planned out..."

I would soon turn out to be right about that, because right at that very moment, the next phase of her plan was being put into motion...

Point-of-View: Belia Lasmodeus

"Yes, that is a brilliant proposition, I humbly accept, Lady Belia!" Exclaimed Aguil, bowing.

"Woah, are you serious? That\'s your plan?" Whispered Shiro skeptically.

"I shall cast the spell outside the castle in a moment, please gather there, King Silvland," I remarked, putting on the voice I used whenever I addressed the Silvland pawns.

"Understood, my lady!"

I let out a sigh as he left along with his advisors, leaving me with Shiro, Hacte, Gela and Druj. I used illusion spells to hide the Demonic features of the last two and told the Silvland pawns that they were two more Angels who had descended to provide further support in the \'holy crusade\'.

"Hey, this spell...how\'d you come up with it anyway?" Inquired Shiro curiously.

"Well...it\'s hard to explain without breaking Samsara\'s taboo, the one that resulted in your creation," I replied, after thinking it over.

"Oh...never mind then," He responded with a frown.

I then opened a portal and walked through it with the four of them, exiting out to the palace courtyard, where a bunch of the sheep were waiting. This spell will cost me around a full quarter of my remaining Divine Magic, but if it works, it\'ll be quite an exciting factor to add to my chaos...things should become a lot more interesting.

I started casting the spell with a smile, struggling to contain my excitement. I had come up with this spell when I remembered something that I learnt in the past. After people began reincarnating in this world with the memories of their past lives intact, I kidnapped one of them and read their memories using Divine Magic out of curiosity...and that\'s where I got the idea for this spell from.

This spell will summon humans from another world, under the conditions that they\'re from a world with magic, they\'re powerful and that they have righteous souls, so that they\'d be more agreeable to work for Silvland. And by righteous souls, I mean souls that haven\'t been corrupted much. I should be able to summon anywhere between five to ten humans. Let\'s see how it goes!

The area in front of me began glowing, and a shockwave burst out, causing most of the Silvland pawns to stumble back, as six glowing figures appeared at the center of the area. Yes, it\'s working! As the dust began to clear and settle, the glow around the six figures started to fade, revealing them...

"What the-...!? Where are we!?" Exclaimed one of them, a man who looked to be in his mid-twenties with longish blonde hair and dark blue eyes.

Six of them, three men and three women. The one I just mentioned, he was tall and strongly built, he wore dark blue light metal armor which covered his chest, abdomen, shoulders, forearms, back, the sides of his thighs and legs, along with a full-body long sleeved black leather tight suit underneath. He carried a sword on the right side of his waist, which was in a dark blue sheath.

One of the other men, who also looked about the same age, had short, spiky red hair, purple eyes, was a bit on the short side and was heavily muscular. He wore maroon gauntlets on his hands than went upto his elbows, a sleeveless black leather armored top and dark red leather armored trousers. He had a large axe on his back and a dagger vertically placed on the side of his left thigh.

The third male looked like he was in his late teens, he had medium length dark pink hair that was slicked back and had green eyes and a scar on his upper lip. He wore dark green light metal armor that covered his entire torso and legs from his knees onwards, over an orange long sleeved tight full-body suit and a spear on his back.

Two of the females appeared to be twins, probably in their early-twenties, both had their hair tied up in ponytails, one with black hair and white eyes and the other with white hair and black eyes.

The black haired one wore white sleeveless leather armor with black armored leather gloves that went upto her elbows and a black skirt over white tights that stopped above her knees and black knee-high boots.

The white haired one wore the same armor but with the opposite color scheme. The black haired one carried narrow twin blades on her back, while the white haired one carried a large hammer on hers.

And the last one was a woman who looked like she was in her late twenties, she was tall and curvy, with long, straight dark green hair that went down to her waist and covered her forehead and eyebrows, green eyes and pale skin. She wore a long sleeveless white dress with a slit along the right side, under a dark gray silver metal armor that covered her back, torso and forearms, along with knee high dark brown boots. She had what looked like a giant fork on her back.

Alright, the spell worked...now, let\'s hope that these people are strong!
