Chapter 371: How Do I Kill An Immortal?

Chapter 371: How Do I Kill An Immortal?

Though the other eight Mahayana elites did not say anything, each of their auras were released, clearly sharing the same thought as the other demonic cultivators.

The mystic treasures over their heads were hovering and shining brilliantly, with three of those actually being demi-immortal items.

In the distance, Jin Sidao’s expression kept changing, but the Green Scale Dragon King flew up to him just as he was about to advance, smiling as he communicated with acoustics, “Are you going to help Jiang He, Brother?”

Jin Sidao paused and turned toward the Green Scale Dragon King then, and it smiled. “Your sect was almost wiped out because of Jiang He. Though your case soon proved to be a blessing in disguise and your sect was allowed to spread your teachings in the Hua Nation, you would still have to suffer Jiang He’s temper... but now, with the immortals’ return at hand, you would be standing against everyone else if you help Jiang He now. Once the immortals are back, do you think the Ten Thousand Swords Sect could stop the immortals of the other sects?”

Nonetheless, Jin Sidao shook his head and said, “Does anyone know when the immortals would actually return, Green Scale Dragon King?”

“As long as they don’t, no one could stop Jiang He.”

“Moreover... you have no idea how scary he could be!”

Hence, he stepped forward, sword in hand as he landed behind Jiang He. The flash from the demi-immortal Dragon Abyss Sword shone brilliantly, indicating his stance.

The other sects may know that Jiang He possessed overwhelming power, but they did not know about Jiang He’s cultivation background.

But Jin Sidao knew!

He had walked among the commoners on multiple occasions, just as elites of his Ten Thousand Swords Sect had discussed with the Hua Nation’s government about promoting their teaching. When they did so, they had taken the time to ask about Jiang He’s accomplishments.

Allegedly, Jiang He had merely been an average rank-three martial artist just three months ago.

For him to gain such strengthen in three months, what heights would he reach even if the immortals returned in a few years?

“Jin Sidao!”

One of the demonic cultivators seethed. “Do you want the Ten Thousand Swords Sect to be outcast?”

Jin Sidao said nothing, and merely casted the demonic cultivator a cool look.

Wasn’t that Heartless Ying of the Unbounded Demonic Sect?

It made sense.

The demonic sects had yet to suffer Jiang He’s ruthless beatings, which was why their irrational reaction now was understandable.

At the same time, the other Mahayana elites were shouting, scolding, and threatening Jin Sidao, while Heartless Ying turned toward the Green Scale Dragon King. Still, just as Heartless Ying was about to speak, the daemonic cultivator put on a show of taking out his communications jade charm, exclaiming in shock, “What?”

“The Poison Scale Dragon King’s eighth consort is giving birth?”

“Alright, I’ll be right there!”

Whoosh!

The daemon was gone in an instant with a puff of green smoke.

Jiang He was dumbstruck.

Wasn’t that snake a little too good at acting?

What a shame that he ran off... if the Green Scale Dragon King had proven greedy and tried to attack him with the nine blind fools here, he had a clear reason to put his foot down on the scale dragons’ clan.

On the other hand...

Jin Sidao had really broadened his horizons.

With this, Jiang He himself would feel too awkward to prank him now.

Naturally, Wang Hou was not aware of what was going on in Jiang He’s mind right then.

There was a sour look on his face—he presumed that he had been cultivating for a hundred years in those treasured grounds to ascend up to Paragon in the martial path, allowing him to strut when he left. How could he expect not to even have the time to get smug and run into such a situation instead?

The nine elites who were in his way possessed overwhelming auras. He just might be able to take them one at a time, but if all nine came at him at once...

There was no running away.

He took a step forward with a pained smile. “Daoists, you misunderstand. I have no idea what soul treasure or Star Map this was... I had simply entered it by mistake and cultivated here for a hundred years... hold on, a hundred years? What year is it, Jiang He?”

“Time might have flowed differently there. You had only been away for twenty days,” Jiang He explained calmly.

Heartless Ying, however, chuckled coolly. “Funny. The Star Map is a soul treasure, so how could you enter it if it does not acknowledge you as its owner? Jiang He, have your friend sever his connection with the Star Map, and we won’t trouble you any longer on this day.”

Jiang He could not help laughing and said, “Brother, are you thinking about troubling me?”

“The demonic immortals of my sect, the Unbounded Demonic Sect, shall return soon,” Heartless Ying answered fearlessly. “If you have show tact, Jiang He, I assure you that our immortals would not retaliate against you.”

“Hand over the Star Map and the immortals of the Blood Demon Sect would not attack you either.”

“We, the Black Demon Sect...”

Ka-boom!

Suddenly, Jiang He moved.

His full-fledged Mahayan mystic energy and physical strength erupted instantly.

The Clear Sky Mirror appeared in his grasp.

Whoosh!

With a flash of twilight radiance, the world of hills and waters inside the mirror manifested upon the starry skies and descended upon Heartless Ying. Despite his surprise, Heartless Ying invoked a blood blade which burst out with a towering bloody radiance, slicing immediately at the mirror world!

It was a demi-immortal blade.

Even so...

The Clear Sky Mirror was already an immortal item. Would a demi-immortal weapon ever break the world it manifests?

In the instant that Heartless Ying’s blade sliced forth, sword light arose around Jiang He’s body as well—the Sword Array of Ten Realms and Infinity took shape immediately, and as he pointed with his figure, the power of the sword array erupted and was fired forward as a shot of Sword Qi.

“No!”

Hearless Ying cried out in panic. A sea of blood appeared around him and in a flash, the blood radiance turned to a black combat armor that kept him together.

Even as he swung his blade again, Heartless Ying shrieked, “Brothers! Save me!”

And yet...

It was already too late.

The power of the Sword Array of Ten Realms and Infinity was approaching the level of immortals.

A single sword cut tore through the sea of blood, shattering Heartless Ying’s armor.

Boom!

The mirror world then descended, subjugating Heartless Ying.

“Back!”

Jiang He reached out with a grasping motion, stuffing both the mirror world and Heartless Ying into the Clear Sky Mirror.

Once inside the mirror, Heartless Ying shrieked, “How dare you capture me, Jiang He? Don’t you know that you are being hostile against a demonic sect? Your fate is sealed once the immortals of the Unbounded Demonic Sect returns!”

However, even though Heartless Ying released every move he had, he could not break out. So, he promptly bellowed in rage, “Let me out! Let me out!”

“If you don’t let me out, the elites of the Unbounded Demonic Sect will slaughter every family member and friend you have, as well as millions of commoners to avenge me!”

Jiang He, who had been nonchalant, was longer calm then.

The other eight Mahayana elites thought that Jiang He felt threatened by Heartless Ying as his expression changed, with the one from the Blood Demon Sect stepping forward and sneering, “Come seal all of us if you have what it takes, Jiang He.”

“It would not matter even if you do.”

“You would definitely be killed once the immortals return. All your friends and family would get dragged into this, and there wouldn’t be a place to bury them.”

Jiang He shot an icy glare at the other seven Mahayana elites and growled, “Do the rest of you think you can defeat me too?”

Another demonic cultivator hence stepped forward and spoke flatly, “Afraid now, Jiang He? It’s just as Brother Heartless has said—your undefeated legend is over. Release him and give us the Star Map, and we could end this right now.”

Whoosh!

The Sword Array of Ten Realms and Infinity erupted without precedent at all. A single dazzling sword light pierced the daemonic cultivator between his eyes, vaporizing his Yuan Spirit and any signs of physical life.

Jiang He then beckoned with an outstretched hand, retrieving the cultivator’s corpse and his mystic treasures while sneering. “A piece of trash without a single demi-immortal item, having the guts to threaten me?”

Killing intent overflowing upon his body while his gaze burned like torches, he looked at the other Mahyana elites and said intimidatingly, “Whoever still intends to threaten me with the immortals or my friends and family, step forward right now... Do you people think I’m easy to bully just because I haven’t been killing people for a couple of days?”

He took out a six-retribution Violet Sky Thunder Talisman with a turn of his hand and threw it at the elite from the Blood Demon Sect. Thunderclouds churned immediately, with violet thunderbolts descending—in no time at all, that Mahayana cultivator was killed.

Jiang He then dragged out Heartless Ying from the Clear Sky Mirror and maimed him with one shot of his Sword Array of Ten Realms and Infinity before slamming a barrage of wild punches on him, crushing his Yuan Spirit and killing him right then and there.

He then turned towards the remaining six Mahayana elites and coolly warned, “Remember, as long as the immortals have not returned, I can walk all over you people and pee on your heads. So! Who still wants the Star Map? Who else would threaten me with the Immortals? Step forward now!”

The six Mahayana elites did not even dare to breathe too loudly.

One of them mustered their courage and said, “Mercy, Lord Jiang He... We were merely confounded by Heartless Ying...”

Jiang He locked in on that cultivator’s aura and casually threw out a five-retribution Violet Sky Thunder Talisman.

The cultivator shrieked in fear and promptly turned to run. However, the Violet Sky Thunder Talisman was capable of locking on to targets on its own, and everyone watched as the moving thundercloud remained right behind the cultivator’s buttocks, firing violet thunderbolt after violet thunderbolt.

By the time the fourth thunderbolt struck him, his soul and spirit were completely destroyed.

Plop!

The remaining five Mahyana elites all dropped to their knees

What the hell!

How terrible!

Even immortals would have to do more if they wanted to cut down a Mahayana cultivator, don’t they?

On the other hand, Jiang He just had to throw talismans.

Hence, ten minutes later...

All five Mahayana cultivators swore unbreakable oaths that they, as well as the immortals of their respective sects would not be hostile against Jiang He in the future. All of them even willingly gave up an demi-immortal item each, as well as substantial treasures as compensation, and only then did Jiang He spared them.

Jiang He, putting away the Violet Sky Thunder Talisman, could not help sighing afterwards. “The kind ones are always bullied... that saying is so true.”

After sighing, his expression turned somber and he said, “The immortals would soon return... well...”

Jiang He panicked a little at that.

It seems that he had provoked many an immortal sect—for example, the Green Hill Foxes and the Penglai Sect were all wiped out, so if the immortals of both factions return, they might come for his life.

He turned toward Jin Sidao and asked, “How are immortals categorized, Jin Sidao? How powerful are they?”

Pausing, he then added, “How do I kill an immortal?”
