Chapter 1138: Terrifying Murder Weapon

Chapter 1138: Terrifying Murder Weapon

What Sheyan was about to do was very simple and very sly. He had found a rare-looking stone in the Buffalo Criminal Boss’ place previously. Pokan had identified it as a kind of mineral similar to amber, that could carry the fossils of mosquitoes inside them. It was rare but not very valuable.

Sheyan recalled that liquid metal life-form had been very interested in this object, but the life-form was soon attracted by the Lacrimal Stones and forgot about the stone. If Sheyan took it out now, he had a chance of waking the liquid metal life-form up.

What Sheyan lacked most right now was attack power! Enough attack power to let him finish a fight quickly!

And a terrifying weapon that was strengthened to +13, even if it was only a dark blue equipment, possessed enough threat to let him kill his way out of trouble and open a path to survival!

So, Sheyan took the rare mineral out and shook it a few times above the sleeping metallic sphere. He then placed the mineral on the blade of ‘+7 West’.

When the rare mineral was above it, two tiny tentacles suddenly appeared from the sleeping metallic sphere and waved around in the air. Then, two frog-like legs popped out beneath the sphere, and the sphere turned slowly, as if it was trying to find something.

When it realised that Sheyan had placed the mineral on ‘+7 West”s blade, the liquid metal life-form leaped like a frog to the blade and dissolved the mineral.

It then tried to leave happily like a dog holding its bone, but Sheyan pressed it tightly to the blade. Fortunately, the life-form did not show much resistance. It simply dissolved onto ‘+7 West”s blade, making the blade look like it had been coated with a layer of film. The weapon flashed continuously and eventually settled down. It weirdly became very dull-looking!

When Sheyan checked the weapon again, the look in his eyes became sharp and dangerous. He had never thought that a weapon would become so lethal after being strengthened to +13!

Sheyan roughly calculated the damage caused by each slash of ‘+13 West’. He drew in a sharp breath.

The average theoretical damage of the weapon was about 250.

Then there’s the additional damage of 80-125 that ignored defence from the ‘Incisive’ property.

If he ruled the enemy as a heathen, thus judging the enemy as an evil creature, there would be about 100 points of holy damage….

Finally, if he triggered the effect of ‘Cutting Edge’, there would be 800 points of additional true damage!

If the enemy were a storyline character, the theoretical damage that each slash could cause exceeded 1300 points! And out of the 1300 points of damage, at least 900 points ignored the opponent’s defence, while about 100 points were holy damage, so the actual damage caused would not be to far off from the theoretical damage because not much of it would be resisted by the opponent’s defence!

Even if Sheyan was unlucky, each wave of ‘+13 West’ would still see a row of 4 different damages (including ‘Flesh Explosion’)!

But if he was lucky enough to trigger both ‘Cutting Edge’ and crushing damage, there would be an unprecedented 5 different types of damages!

What was more frightening was that out of all those damages, there would be 800 points of true damage! If it was not resisted, it was enough to kill many mage-types without giving them the opportunity to heal themselves!

Sheyan stared at the weapon and took a deep breath, his eyes sparkling. Initially, he was only 40% sure of returning successfully, but now he had 70% confidence.

The others were looking at Sheyan, apparently waiting for him to make the decision on whether they should stay or go. However, from the fire in their eyes, it was obvious that they had already made up their minds. They were only waiting for Sheyan’s order out of respect for his authority.

The fundamental reason for this situation was that Cyborg No. 1 had just successfully confirmed their current location. According to their coordinates and the map they had, the displacement from here to the plateau where the Mushroom Rock was located was not that far.

The most important thing was that a large portion of the journey could be done quickly and economically with the help of an external force.

Of course, the so-called external force here did not refer to sailing back the river upstream. It was referring to something that was recorded in the data of the spaceship computer, a seasonal phenomenon on Uplos .

This was a planet where the Predators kept powerful prey, and the more ferocious a creature was, the bigger its appetite. Therefore, the Predators had also reared a great number of large herbivores from the bottom of the food chain here, such as Sturmbeests, giant hoofed sheep, wildebeests and so on, in order to provide enough food for the powerful creatures. Otherwise, if food was insufficient, the beasts would surely kill each other. What the hell were the Predator initiates going to hunt then?

Sturmbeests, giant hoofed sheep and wildebeests were similar to the cattle, sheep and horses on Old Earth, but they were much larger in size, and their appetite was of course very large too. They needed to migrate to different vast pastures all year round to graze.

Of course, the astonishingly rapid growth of plants in those vast pastures had to do with the fact that the Predators had modified the soil of those regions.

It was currently early summer on Uplos, so a large number of Sturmbeests, giant hoofed sheeps and wildebeests would gallop through a valley next to the Buffalo Criminal territory to migrate from the spring pastures to the summer pastures.

Their migration route extended across the plateau where the mushroom rock was located. That was to say, the team could ride on these gentle creatures and follow their vast migration army to reach the plateau. From there, they would only need about an hour to board the Wasps to return home.

This was a great temptation for everyone! After all, Sheyan’s speculation about the Predators was just that – a speculation.

More importantly, the technological gap between the humans and the Predators was not too big. If only one spacecraft took off and fled, of course it would be pursued, but what if there were six spacecrafts taking off at the same time and flying away in different directions? The Predators might not even respond in time, and even if they did, how many spacecrafts could they send to chase after the humans?

Sheyan and the others already knew by now that all the sub-ships on the mothership of the Predators had been dispatched as advance troops, and only one survived when passing through the dimensional wormholes on the way to Uplos.
