Vampire Overlord System in the Apocalypse

Chapter 68 - Noah's Blazing Conviction!

-----

Noah glanced at his party as he was greeted by everyone.

"You look devilish, Noah-sama…" said Timassa.

"…Devilish? What kind of term is that?" asked Noah confusedly.

"A-Ah… well, I was trying to praise your looks… is it wrong?" asked Timassa.

"You don\'t need to praise me at all…" said Noah.

"Master… Did you had breakfast?" asked Jon, his clothes made him look like a young little evil prince, wearing shorts that showed his slender white legs, and a cute black sweater.

"Yes, I more or less ate a sandwich and drank some coffee, but to properly utilize my Abilities, I might as well fill myself with more calories. I shall join you on your breakfast as well," said Noah, sitting in front of the table, being able to see all of his subordinates in front of him.

"Noah-sama, I\'ve counted the Cores we gathered, and we got… over three hundred!" said Arthur.

"Oh? That might be enough to reach a high amount of stats… We might as well explore an E-Rank Dungeon today… Now that we are away from that damned school, I can\'t help but feel more relaxed… We need to keep training, this peace is but an illusion after all…" said Noah.

"Fweh… And I thought that we could take the day off and go eat outside or something…" said Iris.

"What kind of stupid plan is that? We need to grow stronger, Iris…" sighed Noah.

"Y-Yeah, Iris… Although I would also like to relax, as we are no longer humans, our necessities and fates have changed…" said Arthur.

"We certainly need more strength, as much as we can muster," said Timassa.

"Master… Eat…" said Adamantine, eating a large piece of grilled meat, it seems that it was specifically cooked for her because no one else was eating such a thing.

Noah glanced at his food as he began to dig in without much trouble, the party chatted around about their plans and what to do this weekend…

But for Noah, the only thing worth wasting time doing was training, training, and training!

They would at least visit another E-Rank Dungeon and try to get as many Cores as possible, and then, they would train their abilities and Skills, which Noah wanted everyone to at least to awaken one Skill at the very least.

After Noah ended distributing the Cores, he acquired 54 Attribute Value Cores and 6 E-Rank Ability Cores.

The rest of the party had already maxed their stats to 75 in every single attribute value and were easy to increase even further with E-Rank Cores.

After eating a lot, Noah decided to absorb the Cores first, and then check his change in stats.

Unlike absorbing F-Rank Cores, E-Rank Cores felt like they had a completely different quality of energy and power they could give, something that he was fascinated with!

This surge of power was nourishing his entire body, but not only that, his Blood Core was resonating with it, shining brightly, to the point where Noah\'s chest began to exude a bright crimson light!

This power… it was exhilarating!

Noah could not even imagine how it would even feel to absorb a D-Rank Core… or a C-Rank Core… or even more… an S-Rank Core!

The feeling of power enveloping his entire existence might end up being way too good, like a strong drug he could not get enough of!

After absorbing the Cores, Noah gasped for air, his mind was almost in ecstasy through it.

He glanced at his allies as he found out that most of them were experiencing the same thing.

"It seems that all of you felt such power… Indeed, absorbing greater Mana Cores is… this power s embracing," said Noah while rubbing his chin.

As he still felt the energies coursing through his body, Noah began to meditate, using the Cultivation Techniques he extorted from the Blood Progenitor, he began to enhance the usage of energy around his body and their effects over his body and Blood Core!

Until suddenly, he felt like he gained more power than he was supposed to receive… this was the power of effectively use such energies through cultivation!

"If there could be more effective methods of using these techniques… But not yet…" sighed Noah, as the power surging all around his body became completely his own.

Then, he checked his Attribute Panel.

[Noah]

[Bloodline: Vampire (Evolved)]

"This power… seems good enough…" said Noah, smiling as he glanced at his Attribute Panel.

His stats all had surpassed 100!

Now, he was nearing the 150 stats that are needed to get towards D-Rank!

In fact, not only him, but the rest of his subordinates were all surprised, their progress was… way too fast!

Just a week has gone by and they were already near D-Rank!

From measly F-Ranks!

Objectively, it would be impossible to reach this pace if it were not because of their special abilities as Vampiric beings.

Normal hunters would need to rest a lot every time they used their Skills and spent their Mana, and they were not able to fully recover it many times by consuming blood so easily as them.

They were also humans at the end, and even if superhuman, they would get tired after some time and would have to retreat and call it a day.

Even more, normal people would never be able to kill monsters for hours and hours inside a Dungeon like them, although they ended tired at the end, it was not until very late, something that no human at E-Rank would ever be able to accomplish.

Potions were also expensive for E-Ranks, so it was impossible to get hundreds of potions and use them to spend hours killing monsters.

But Noah and his Vampires were vastly different, they could spend hours grinding without tiring, regenerating mana instantly through blood, and keep spamming their powerful attacks constantly!

In a week they did what it would take months for a normal hunter at their Rank, or even years!

And now, they were nearing D-Rank just like that!

They simply needed to explore a dungeon today and perhaps another tomorrow and… D-Rank!

However, even at D-Rank power, it was lackluster.

There were still C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, S-Rank… they were all monsters of their own.

And would most likely need to grow even stronger if they wanted to stand a chance against these people and this chaotic world!

Whenever their abilities are one day discovered by the people is when they will be most likely targeted by many!

For that moment, they must remain to lay low and gather as much power as possible!

Noah thought about it deeply.

"Although we are strong, we are not strong enough… Let\'s reach D-Rank today, and let\'s explore a D-Rank Dungeon tomorrow!" said Noah.

"That\'s… are you sure?" asked Arthur.

"D-Rank… and then a D-Rank Dungeon tomorrow…" said Timassa.

"B-Rank…" said Noah.

"Eh?" asked everyone.

"B-Rank is the Rank we need to reach to finally be respected by most of the people, and for the majority of the people, hunters, and governments to grow wary of us. As long as we reach this level of power… we will be able to make of ourselves a spot in this world. We need to reach it at all costs!" said Noah, his crimson eyes gleaming with a blazing conviction!

"B-Rank? That\'s… and you want it soon?" asked Timassa.

"As soon as possible, this world will keep changing, and I believe that dangers will come towards us one by one… We cannot slack off, not a single day," said Noah.

"You\'re… You\'re right, Noah… We cannot slack off at all! Let\'s do it! Let\'s raise… to the top! We have to abuse our Vampiric powers and resiliency, and train until we pass out!" said Arthur.

"That\'s right! This is the path we have chosen… We need to be strong, and getting strong is not an easy path!" said Iris.

"We have to do it, we\'ll do it…! Master, let\'s become… B-Rank!" said Jon.

"This… I guess I have no option, if Arthur-sama is on the wagon, I don\'t know why do I doubt so much… Very well then!" said Timassa.

"Train… strong!" said Adamantine.

"It seems that everyone agrees! …What about you two?" asked Noah, glaring at Sakura and Sugar.

"Eh? US?!" asked Sugar, she was a robot, not a hunter.

"C-Can I grow stronger like you?" wondered Sakura.

"Most probably not, but you will most likely do in your own way as we gather more resources, so you are also into the team!" said Noah with fierce and greedy eyes.

"O-Okay then!" said Sakura shyly, as she didn\'t have a choice, when Noah decided something, that was it!

"I am a repair bot… not a…" muttered Sugar.

"You too!" said Noah, grabbing Sugar\'s hands as she blushed a bit.

"E-Eeeeh?! B-But… Sigh… Okay, okay! But you better teach me how to fight well! And get me some weapons too! Grr… making a repair bot like me work like a slave! What a master!" said Sugar.

"And Big Sis is included?" asked Sakura.

"Especially her, she is a giant War Machine, she is not escaping from our training at all," said Noah, smiling maliciously.

It was decided!
